Lá Liath, pronounced la lee-ah, is Irish for "grey day." The name was chosen to reflect the usual Seattle weather, as well as to create a place where people could come to escape those grey days with a pastry and a cup of tea.

Bakery owner Marenka, pronounced Ma-zhen-ka, has a love for all things tea and pastry, as well as her partner, cat, and cookbooks. She hopes that everyone can find something they like to eat at her bakery!

We are currently only at markets and pop-up events, with special order pickup available at our Georgetown kitchen. We hope for a storefront someday, preferably with large windows, comfortable seating, and maybe a neighborhood cat that likes to stop by.
